VISION: 

The Lisle Park District Theatre and Arts Program aspires to transform young audiences into creative, curious, and compassionate adults by creating theatre arts  and education opportunities for all ages in our community. 

​

MISSION:

To train and support the next generation of theatre artists; we provide arts education programs that promote life-long learning to a diverse community and we celebrate the creativity of the theatre to illuminate our common humanity.

DOMINIQUE NADEAU, DIRECTOR

​

Dominique earned her BA in Theater Studies and Dramaturgy from Webster University in St. Louis, MO and is currently working towards her M.Ed. in Drama in Education from Trinity College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. She is the co-founder of the Lisle Park District’s Theatre Program and has been the Co-Artistic Director for six years. Her recent dramaturgy credits include Stick Fly (Writers Theater, Glencoe, IL), Mary Poppins (Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, IL) and Women in Assembly (Thinking Cap Theatre, Fort Lauderdale, FL). During the school year, Dominique spends her time teaching fine and performing arts at Chicago Public Schools for grades Pre-K-8.

BRIANA BESTER, DIRECTOR

​

Briana earned her BS/BA in Biology and Psychology from the University of Missouri and is a Lisle Alumni. Currently, Briana serves as the Head Coach for the Lisle Lionettes Dance Team. Briana spends her time providing and advising teachers as an Inside Sales Manager with School Specialty. She is in the process of pursuing her teaching licensure to teach High School science. Briana is the Co-Founder of the Lisle Park District’s Theatre Program and has been the Co-Artistic Director for the past 6 years. With a passion for theater she strived to take many drama-based / musical courses and has acted in several plays/musicals which include “Spy Glass”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Nerd”, “Brighton Beach Memories” and “Don’t Mention my Name”.

DAWN YACKLEY, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Dawn has been consistently involved in theater since the fall of 2011. She is grateful to have been included in the Lisle Park District Theater Program since it’s beginning in the summer of 2014. She is a dedicated set builder, stagehand, and stage manager, though she’s always ready to learn more about each aspect of a production. For her, theater has been an incredible adventure with rewarding experiences, learning opportunities, and a second family. She cannot wait for the next production! Dawn is a member of Thespian Troupe #660. Dawn has also assisted the Downers Grove Players and the theater at College of DuPage. Her favorite musical is Newsies. Seize the Day!

ELLIE de BUHR, MAKE-UP DESIGNER, ASSISTANT CHOREOGRAPHER

Meet Ellie de Buhr! She graduated from Lisle High School in 2020 and will be continuing her education at Bradley University in the fall for art education. Ellie has worked on previous park district shows for makeup as well as some choreography. Her recent production credits include Alice In Wonderland and The Lion King. This year Ellie is excited to be able to be better involved with the choreography as well as makeup!

CATHERINE MURRAY, HAIR DESIGNER, ASSISTANT CHOREOGRAPHER

Catherine Murray is assistant choreographer and hair designer for this year's show, Matilda. She has been involved with hair and makeup design for the past two shows, Alice in wonderland, and Lion King. She got involved with cleaning and creating choreography for Lion king. She is very excited to expand her choreography experience this year.
